Dear Patrons and Friends of the MSO,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to experience the Monroe Symphony Orchestra in its 40th Anniversary season. We hope to be a refuge for your busy lives where we can replenish your soul by bringing you the irreplaceable art of live orchestral music, filled with energy, innovation, and passion.

The 2010-2011 season features exceptional guest artists, including the outstanding violin virtuoso Bella Hristova, acclaimed soprano Claire Vangelisti, pops vocalist Ben Utecht, and gifted pianist Jennifer Tu. You'll enjoy many masterpieces of the symphonic repertoire such as Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol, Symphony No. 2 by Brahms, and Prelude to Die Meistersinger by Wagner, plus works by Beethoven, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, and others. In addition, the Monroe Symphony Chorus joins us for a special "Broadway A La Carte" performance.

The MSO continues our commitment to bring you a standard of excellence in our performances, providing a relevant musical experience through our rich programming and introducing new soloists to Northeast Louisiana that will touch you through their brilliance, virtuosity, and depth.

On behalf of the dedicated musicians, board, and staff of the MSO, I invite you to take just a few minutes to renew or begin a subscription. Your enthusiastic presence at our concerts is an inspiration to us all. We look forward to sharing a fabulous season of live music with you.

Cordially,

Clay Couturiaux, Music Director/Conductor
